PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
GutterSnipe Model GS-1 is a wheeled, easily portable treatment system for removal of suspended solids, oil, grease and other organic compounds from utility vault or other wastewater. It is light enough to be handled by one person and can remove hydrocarbons to below detectable limits.
GutterSnipe uses a patented hydrocarbon removal system in combination with a suspended solids filter to provide quick cleanup of limited volume vault, conduit and excavation flooding. GutterSnipe units are used to remove suspended solids and tramp oils, grease and other hydrocarbons from utility vault and excavation pump-out water. Removing these contaminants from the water during pump-out allows it to be safely and legally dumped down the gutter or storm drain system. The hydrocarbon removal technology has been employed and proven on water cleanup applications ranging from PCB remediation in power company vaults to fuel sheen removal from overturned tugboats.
Model GS-1 has two top loading filter cylinders in series. Normally the first cylinder is equipped with a suspended solids bag filter while the second cylinder has a hydrocarbon removal cartridge. The cylinders can utilize either bags or cartridges so that the system can be configured to meet on site requirements. For example, if no hydrocarbons are present, bags could be employed for two-stage solids removal or cartridges in both to remove oil and grease. ADVENTAPPLICATIONS DEVELOPMENT VENTURES

GutterSnipe Jr. Model GS-2 is a single vessel, hand carried, easily portable treatment system for removal of suspended solids or oil, grease and other organic compounds from utility vault or other wastewater. It is light enough to be handled by one person and can remove hydrocarbons to below detectable limits. It will fit in most pickup truck toolboxes.

The cylinders can utilize either bags or cartridges so that the system can be configured to meet on site requirements. For example, if no hydrocarbons are present, single or multiple GS-2s with bag filter(s) could be employed for solids removal.
